Letter of 5 May 1943

5 May 1943

To an individual believer

Dear Bahá’í Sister:
Your warm letter was received, and, although the Guardian answered your first letter to him, it seems to have gotten lost. This last letter of yours, dated December 28th, and which I am answering on his behalf, only arrived two days ago. He hopes this time his reply will reach you safely.
He is happy to hear of your great devotion to the Cause of Bahá’u’lláh and how clearly you have grasped the fundamental truth that all the Prophets are from One Essence and one in spirit. This is one of the greatest blessings the Faith has to offer to people—the knowledge of the unity of all religions.
He will certainly pray that God may watch over your sons and bring them safely home to you. He will also pray that they may recognize the Bahá’í Teachings to be the solution to the problems of the world today.

Assuring you of his loving prayers for your services to the Cause,

1.Emeric and Rosemary Sala—members of the National Spiritual Assembly 1948–53. During the first and second Seven Year Plans, they pioneered to Venezuela (1940–41) and travelled throughout Latin America. In 1953 they pioneered to South Africa, and returned to Canada in 1968.
